Firefighter recruitment
We are a highly motivated, respectful and diverse group of individuals who are passionate about public safety and helping others. Our member’s strengths as individuals lead to a stronger team. Calgary firefighters respond to high stress incidents such as structure fires, emergency medical incidents, hazardous materials incidents, and motor vehicle collisions. Our department includes specialty units: aquatic rescue, hazardous material and technical rescue teams.

Pay and benefits
Our firefighters are paid a competitive wage, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package . They are covered by a collective agreement between The City of Calgary and the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 255. Capabilities
LETHIRON produces Ductile Iron, Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI), Carbidic Austempered Ductile Iron (CADI) and Hi-Chrome Iron castings in weights ranging from less than a pound to more than 500 pounds. Our annual capacity is approximately 15,000 tons of iron castings. Production quantities range from 50 pieces to 500,000 pieces per order. We use the latest technology and automated equipment to position our company well for its second century of operation. Numerous capital projects have been undertaken, outfitting the foundry with modern, automated high production equipment in all departments. Welcome! Opokaa’sin Early Intervention Society is an Indigenous child and family organization designed t0 provide support services to Indigenous children and families in Southern Alberta. We have been operating successfully since 1996 and have provided essential child development and support services to Indigenous children, youth and families! Opokaa’sin has developed a reputation for excellence and innovation, and the organization is becoming known in Alberta and surrounding provinces as a model for Indigenous service providers. Currently, Opokaa’sin serves over 120 children, youth, and families daily, we strive to provide quality programming while maintaining our Indigenous culture, language, and traditions.

YWCA Lethbridge and District evolved when a committee of representatives from local organizations investigated the need for a residence for students and working women in the area. Now Hiring 5th Class Constable/ Police Officer Cadet Training Program

The MHPS is currently seeking applicants for the position of police constable. Applicants will be selected from this application process, be sworn in as police cadets and commence 20 weeks of police recruit training at the MHPS starting in early 2024.
The Police Officer Cadet Training Program is accredited by Lethbridge College (LC) and follows standards set forth by the Alberta Justice & Solicitor General’s office. Upon successful completion of the training, Lethbridge College (LC) will award graduates of the training with a Credential of Academic Achievement in Police Recruit Training, documented by an official parchment and transcript. Additionally, some cadets will be selected for immediate employment as a police constable with the MHPS, while the remaining cadets will be shortlisted for consideration, should additional vacancies arise over the following year.
