Be part of a collaborative team of Indigenous Services Canada health care professionals. Deliver care to clients of all ages in remote or isolated First Nations communities. Public health nurses deliver programs designed in partnership with community members and leaders that promote and preserve environments that support the good health of First Nations peoples on reserve. Candidates must be either a registered nurse or eligible to be a registered nurse. They must be certified by the time of appointment within the province in which the position is located. They must also have gained, within the last 5 years, at least 2 years' experience in:

The Yarmouth Association for Community Residential Options (YACRO) was established in 1991. It is a not-for-profit agency that provides residential support for children and adults challenged with disabilities. The Yarmouth Association for Community Residential Options, a not-for-profit association, was formed by a concerned group of aging parents who had children with a disability. As they aged, these parents became worried about the future of their children, and who would provide the care and support when they could no longer do so. As a result, they formalized the agency on April 1, 1990.

Ocean View Continuing Care Centre (formerly Ocean View Manor) has been part of the community of Eastern Passage since 1967 and is home to 171 residents. Originally owned by the Halifax Regional Municipality, Ocean View Centre Society was formed in 1999. The recently renamed Ocean View Continuing Care Centre operates as a continuing care facility under the direction of a community Board of Directors. As an accredited health care facility since 1974, we pride ourselves on the provision of quality care.
