The Témiscamingue Youth Employment Center was founded in 1997 and qualifies as a youth organization that offers a very diversified range of services. The team is always ready to take on challenges and seize opportunities to maintain a professional and quality service. Audacity, authenticity and simplicity are the three values that guide his actions on a daily basis. The CJET is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the living conditions of young people aged 12 to 35, through socio-professional integration.


Local 493 was issued its charter by the Labourers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) in 1955 to represent workers in Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins and surrounding areas. Currently, Local 493 represents over 1000 members in construction and industrial units. All union employers must hire their employees through Local 493 for work covered by their collective agreements. Members are dispatched by the union to signatory contractors based on their standing on the out of work list or their qualifications.

Pioneer Manor serves residents 18 years of age and older who have long-term health care needs and who are no longer able to manage in independent living situations. As the largest facility of its kind in Northern Ontario, Pioneer Manor is home to 433 residents who are provided with 24 hours of supervision. At Pioneer Manor, residents receive comprehensive, individualized and responsive care. Those referred to Pioneer Manor through the Community Care Access Centre have care needs that can no longer be met in the community. Children's Community Network (CCN) is a nonprofit agency funded by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services (MCYS) and the Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS) with a volunteer Board of Directors. CCN is the single point of access for ministry funded children’s services and provides information and referrals to other programs available to children and their families in the community. The Children's Community Network was incorporated as an organization in 2003. The Ministry of Community and Social Services policy framework “Making Services Work for People” was the impetus for the creation of CCN, with its requirement that communities establish a central access system for children services and a process for case resolution at the district level.
