Accent Inns is a boastfully BC company that has been proudly owned and operated by the Farmer family since 1986. Mandy Farmer took over the role of president and CEO of Accent Inns from her father, Terry Farmer, in 2008. Mandy brings a focus on innovating Accent Inns for both the fun and function of it. From the humour that is sprinkled through everything we do, to being the most bike-friendly and pet-friendly hotel chain in Canada, what Mandy does is ensure we are different…in a good way. But if you ask Mandy what really makes us different, she’ll tell you it’s our amazing staff—most of whom have been here for over 10 years. We’re not coworkers, we’re family. And we have the most fun as possible at work. (You could say we put the “fun” in “dysfunctional family”.) And it all comes down to creating the experiences that make our guests happy and keeps them, and us, coming back.

Fix Auto was created on the basis of a very simple idea: meeting the needs of a fragmented industry, because body shops need to communicate. First, they need to communicate with consumers to build trust. Then, communicate with insurers to create long-lasting business ties. And lastly, communicate with each other to optimize their procedures. Our motto is to Delivering the highest degree of customer satisfaction through superior workmanship and service, providing only clear and accurate estimates, being professional and objective in all our evaluations, insisting only on proper repairs, adhering to our written estimates and to those of insurance companies, and executing all repairs correctly the first time, obtaining approval from customers and insurance companies prior to proceeding with any additional repair work not previously authorized.

The Southern Interior Construction Association is an amalgamation of the Kamloops & District Building Exchange and the South Okanagan Contractors Association. As membership in both organizations grew it became apparent that the two organizations could function more efficiently as one. In 1962 the two organizations merged and in 1969 SICA was registered under the Societies Act. Our members are a part of a collective voice, the SICA voice. This voice believes in fairness, transparency, and open communication in the construction industry. We are industry leaders who believe in promoting excellence in everything we do. Together our voice is changing the construction community and helping your business to grow. SICA needs your support to be able to carry on this leadership role on your behalf.
